Bengaluru : Coastal Karnataka based Muttappa Roy, once the known name in Indian underworld, who has been admitted in Manipal hospital at Bengaluru for Cancer treatment is said to be serious. Since his health condition was being debated in social media and even his demise messages with his photographs with RIP (Rest In Peace) were being circulated, the hospital authority said it would clarify his health status in Thursday morning bulletin.
Roy from Puttur in undivided Mangaluru who went to Mumbai as wage worker turned him as a gangster and later as a don. Wanted for INTERPOL, Roy got settled all his police, court cases, started an Kannada outfit “Jai Karnataka” and was engaged in social work.
Roy whose prime economic source was from land business has said to be earned thousands of crore rupees in last decade. His wife Rekha in 2013 at Singapore and he was tested cancer in 2018.
