Lockdown Effect, Three Factories Removes 197 Workers from Job

Belagavi: In-spite the order from the central and state government to industrial sector not to remove a single worker, employee from job on any reason, three factories in Belagavi taluk removed 197 workers from the services saying “No Job Work”.

A factory in Udhyambag removed 7 workers, at Kangrali BK 40 and a factory at Kakati removed 150 workers. The factories said they were not in a position to continue their services as there were no job work, not in a position to pay the salary, wage to them and assured of joining them once situation turn favourable.

Since the factories were ordered neither they should remove workers, employees from services on any reason and even though don’t have work must pay the salary, wage to the workers.

Based on the order, most among those removed from the job complained to the Labour department which has served the notices to the concerned factories instructing to reply in seven days.
