ಸೂರತ, ಜ 19- ಫುಟಪಾತ್ ಮೇಲೆ ನಿದ್ರಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದವರ ಮೇಲೆ ಟ್ರಕ್ ಹರಿದು 13 ಮಂದಿ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲೇ ಮೃತಪಟ್ಟ ಹೃದಯ ವಿದ್ರಾವಕ ಘಟನೆ ಗುಜರಾತ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಸೂರತ ನಗರದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಂಗಳವಾರ ಬೆಳಗಿನ ಜಾವ ಸಂಭವಿಸಿದೆ.
ಸೂರತ ನಗರದ ಸಮೀಪ ಕಿಮಚಾರ್ ರಸ್ತೆ ಬಳಿಯ ಫುಟ‌ಪಾತ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ 18 ಮಂದಿ ನಿದ್ರಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಮಂಗಳವಾರ ಬೆಳಗಿನ ಜಾವ ಎದುರಿನಿಂದ ಬಂದ ಟ್ರಾಕ್ಟರ್ ಗೆ ಢಿಕ್ಕಿ ಹೊಡೆದ ಪರಿಣಾಮ, ಚಾಲಕನ ನಿಯಂತ್ರಣ ತಪ್ಪಿ ಟ್ರಕ್ ಫುಟ್‌ಪಾತ್‌ ಮೇಲೆ ಹರಿಯಿತು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಆಗ ಫುಟ‌ಪಾತ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ಮಲಗಿದ್ದ 13 ಜನರು ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲೇ ಮೃತಪಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಘಟನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಐವರು ಗಂಭೀರವಾಗಿ ಗಾಯಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದು, ಅವರನ್ನು ಸಮೀಪದ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಗೆ ಸಾಗಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.
ಮೃತರು ರಾಜಸ್ಥಾನ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಬಡ ಕೂಲಿ ಕಾರ್ಮಿಕರು ಎಂದು ಪೊಲೀಸರು ತಿಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಘಟನೆ ನಡೆದ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಪೊಲೀಸರು, ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ ಸ್ಥಳೀಯರು ಧಾವಿಸಿ ಪರಿಹಾರ ಕಾರ್ಯಾಚರಣೆ ನಡೆಸಿದರು.
Ex-gratia of Rs. 2 lakh each from PMNRF would be given to the next of kin of those who have lost their lives due to the accident in Surat. Rs. 50,000 each would be given to those injured.

The tragedy in Surat, where labourers from Banswara have lost lives is heart wrenching. Rajasthan govt will be providing Rs 2 lakh compensation to family of the deceased & Rs 50,000 to those injured from CM Relief Fund.
